Storage requirements

Operation precautions

1. Arrange the installation position of the diaphragm in an upright direction to avoid dust accumulation

2. Apply a clear positioning line at the location where the diaphragm is installed, most notably a limit step

3. The surface roughness of the installation shall not exceed 0.4 µ m Ra.

4. Ensure a clean environment to prevent dust from interfering with the installation effect

5. Ensure that the installation surface is clean and dry

6. Avoid sharp components from touching the waterproof and breathable membrane

7. Please wear clean rubber fingertips or gloves to avoid direct contact with waterproof and breathable membranes

8. Prepare blunt edged tweezers and do not use pointed tweezers that may damage waterproof and breathable products.

Extracting membranes from profiles

Method 1: Roll up the release material, separate the waterproof and breathable membrane from the release material, and

 separate it to about 1-2mm before using a camera to extract the membrane

Installation Guide

1. Installation location

The position of the installation hole should be prioritized to be perpendicular to the ground on the side, 

with the waterproof and breathable valve installed horizontally. Next, choose the bottom installation, and 

avoid positions that are easily covered by rainwater, dust, and other objects. To prevent the waterproof and 

breathable membrane micropores from being blocked by coverings.

2. Design of installation holes

The Le De M12 * 1.5 series products use a 14 * 9 * 2.5 O-ring with a hardness of 50 and a groove design to prevent O-ring overflow.

Suggest a typical installation hole with a chamfer of 120 degrees and a diameter of 14.2mm. The installation torque is suitable from 5.0 to 6.0 kgf.cm.

Lede Company's waterproof and breathable valve groove design facilitates users to better chamfer threaded holes within the specified torque range:

90 degree chamfer, applicable from 12.0 to 14.6mm.

A 120 degree chamfer can be applied from 12.0 to 15.0mm.

Precautions before installation

Before installation, it is necessary to prepare a suitable straight screwdriver and adjust the torque to 5.0 to 6.0 Kgf.cm.

The specific adjustment depends on the size and hardness of the matching installation screw teeth and O-ring.
